The Ahmednagar Club LTD., established by the British on 9 acres of land overlooking the historic Ahmednagar fort, is a 110-year-old structure where Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru and other freedom fighters were enthralled, and where he penned the book Discovery of India.
Ahmednagar is strategically located in the center of Maharashtra, surrounded by many Holi places.
So Ahmednagar is a popular stop for most people travelling to these places since Mumbai is only 265 kilometers away. Thus, the club makes a lovely vacation stop for devout and recreational enthusiasts looking for a weekend away from the hustle and bustle of Mumbai life.
